I started hairdressing on leaving school and took the traditional apprenticeship route. Training ‘in house’, I was fortunate enough to have been trained by some of the most respected stylists in the area’s leading salons, including Toni & Guy.
Once qualified, I gained further experience working as a stylist, specialising in colouring and cutting, and I have over 25 years of experience both in Mia and in some of Torbay’s best known salons.
During this time I have gained a wealth of experience as well as a great understanding of client care and attention. So, I would like to invite you to join my clientele here at Mia and I look forward to meeting you soon.
I have always had a passion for hairdressing and I absolutely love my job.
I first started training at the age of 14 on a day release scheme at South Devon College and also had the chance of doing work experience at my first salon, which I loved.
Once I had completed my Level 1 qualification I moved on to work full time in the salon and take up my apprenticeship at the age of 16. This is where I started to grow my skills, watching very talented stylists and receiving in-house training.
I have been at Mia Hair Salon for 5 years now and enjoy all aspects of hairdressing, but I especially love doing balayage.
Hi, I’m Emily, a passionate hairdresser with over 15 years of experience in all aspects of hair services. I love helping my clients feel confident and look their best, whether it’s a fresh cut, colour transformation, or styling for a special occasion.
When I’m not in the salon, I’m a proud mum of two who enjoys long walks with my dog, spending quality time with friends, and keeping active at the gym. I’m friendly, easy-going, love a laugh and dedicated to making every client feel comfortable and cared for in my chair.
